Derby Experiences' Official Packages are delivered complete with your tickets, itinerary, directions, point of contact and many guides and maps to aid you on your Derby Experience!

Questions About Official Packages:
Q: What are the payment terms?
A: Convenient payment terms are available with Official Derby Experiences Ticket Packages

Once you choose your Official Kentucky Derby Ticket Package, submit a request
form or call 888.384.7088 to speak with a Derby Experiences representative.
A contract will be sent to you with payment options and terms.
Q: What method of payment can I use to purchase a packages?
A: Check, wire transfer, or any major credit card.
Q: What if I would like information on ancillary services such as golfing, tours,
parties and transportation?
A: Please contact a Derby Experiences Representative at 888.384.7088, we will
assist with all the extras!
Q: What is the earliest hotel check-in time for people arriving on Thursday?
A: 3pm is the earliest hotel check-in time
Q: Will ground transportation be provided to the races?
A: Ground transportation is already included with Derby Experiences'
Grandstand and first floor Clubhouse packages that include accommodations.
You can, however, add transportation and/or parking to any
Official Kentucky Derby Ticket Package.
Q: Can I just purchase tickets to the Kentucky Derby through Derby Experiences?
A: No. Derby Experiences ONLY sells Official Ticket Packages to the
Kentucky Derby® and Kentucky Oaks® to ensure our clients have the BEST
Derby Experience. Official packages offer security and many exclusive extras
you cannot find anywhere else.
We do, however, offer a Race Day Package for all levels of seating that includes
the tickets for Oaks and Derby, hospitality, gift bag and fast access pass. These
Race Day Packages are often competitively priced with many
ticket brokers' "ticket only" prices. Official Race Day Packages are a better value.
Q: Can I purchase parking or ground transportation through Derby Experiences
if I am not an Official Ticket Package holder?
A: No. Derby Experiences ONLY sells these ancillary services to
Official Kentucky Derby® and Kentucky Oaks® Ticket Package holders.
Among many the benefits of Official packages are access to the concierge services
provided by QuintEvents.
General Questions:
Q: What time are the Kentucky Oaks and Kentucky Derby races?
A: Post times for the Kentucky Derby® and Kentucky Oaks® races can be found here.
Q: Is there a weather plan?
A: The Kentucky Derby® and Kentucky Oaks® are run rain or shine.
The only thing that would delay the races is lightning.
Q: What happens if I lose my tickets?
A: Lost or stolen tickets cannot be replaced.
Q: What time do the gates open at Churchill Downs on race days?
A: Gates open at 8 am. The parking lot opens at 6am both Friday and Saturday.
Shuttle service begins at 9am on Friday and 7am on Saturday.
Q: Is there a dress code?
A: In some reserved areas of Churchill Downs there is a dress code.
Dress Code for the Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks
It is important to note that, in the majority of the seating areas, you do not have to be “Dressed to the Nines” to be admitted into the races. Here are some great guidelines for achieving the perfect Derby look:
Business casual is required for the The Derby Room:

Casual Attire is permitted in the Turf Club, Trophy Room and Millionaires Row:

Denim, jeans, shorts and tennis shoes are not allowed. Torn or frayed clothing is inappropriate and not allowed.
Casual Attire is permitted in all other seating areas, including the Grandstand.
TIP FOR THE LADIES!
While high heels are certainly part of the total Derby ensemble, experienced Derby divas also pack a pair of fashionable yet comfortable flats or flip flops to wear home. Who says the high price of fashion has to include blisters?

Q: What items are permitted through the gates of Churchill Downs?
A: As you prepare for your race day trip to Churchill Downs for the Kentucky Derby,
security only allows certain items to be carried inside of the race track.
Please note all items are subject for search by authorities
Items permitted by Churchill Downs at the Kentucky Derby include:

(allowed in INFIELD ONLY through Gates 1 & 3. Contents may include non-alcoholic
beverages (no glass containers) and ice and food packaged in clear plastic containers.
